RFID Tags Kill Device
Equipment for deactivation of unwanted RFID tags
Features
- The device is able to kill the tags in shoes or on clothes even without taking the goods out of the packing.
- The tag killing process is performed in less than 20 seconds in most cases.
- The equipment is able to process goods in batches. The approximate deactivation rate is up to 1000 tags per day.
- The device is fully safe to operate even by unskilled personnel.
- The process is fully automated, with minimal staff intervention.
- The device is able to kill any EPC Gen2 compatible tags (Frequency range 860-960Mhz)
The RFID Tags Killing Device consists of the working chamber, RF emitter, RFID Reader, and an LCD display. The goods are placed inside the metal emission-insulated working chamber. The chamber has a door with protection sensors to eliminate the risk of exposing of the operator to the RF field. When the working chamber is filled, the input door should be closed and the tags defusing process begins.
The defusing process is the following:
First, the RFID reader is activated, it detects the presence of all active RFID tags on and inside the goods.
While the RFID reader works, the LCD displays how many tags are detected inside.
After this, the RF Generator is activated, effectively defusing tags in the detected locations. The RF generator works for a short period of time (a few seconds), not to allow damage the possible metal accessories inside.
In the next stage, the RFID reader is activated again to detect the possible survivor tags, which were not defused. If there are any left tags, which were not defused, the RF emission procedure is repeated again until all the tags are defused completely.
After the defuse process, the output door is opened and all merchandise can be taken out of the working chamber. The process is now complete.
Advantages of this solution are:
- Fully automated process
- Personal is kept safe due to metal shielding for microwave protection
- Possible to integrate into continuous retail supply chain process.
Additional Features
The device contains LCD display with the ability to set the maximum allowed RF power level, maximum number of passes and additional supporting parameters
