The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine appealed to the Allies to hand over long-range weapons to Ukraine
Ukraine's defense forces need long-range weapons to fight Russian aggression and liberate the temporarily occupied territories from invaders.
This is stated in the appeal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
The Commander-in-Chief addressed the countries that support Ukraine in opposing Russia's full-scale aggression.
He also thanked for the international technical assistance already provided.
“We are grateful for the international technical assistance provided. At the same time, we are in dire need of weapons that will be able to hit the enemy at a great distance," said the general.
As a result of these negotiations, Denmark will hand over Harpoon anti-ship guns and ground installations to Ukraine.
It is also known that Italy, Greece, Norway and Poland will hand over artillery systems to Ukraine. It is unknown at this time what kind of artillery armament is in question.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said he expects a decision on the provision of multiple rocket launchers from the second meeting.
Also recently, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba also appeared to the partners to provide Ukraine with weapons and ammunition as soon as possible.
